About hunting in Egypt
Egypt has a strong history with hunting, practiced by kings of ancient civilisations, it has carried its tradition to modern times.
There is excellent offer of bird shooting, namely duck and doves.
After being strategically placed in studied blinds, by dawn and dusk, the ducks will flock to the lakes. The blue-winged teal is a certain attraction every autumn, they come in high volume around and over the blinds, the duck’s deep and musky colours shimmering under the fading light of day. Doves on the other hand will test the hunters agility and hand eye coordination, driven in by the rich corn and sunflower fields, the number of birds is unbelievable.
Again the method is the same as before, using blinds, the action is continuous as the doves return to food and water. Curiously, with big sandy dunes come big water hubs such as the River Nile and Lake Nasser.
One of the largest man-made lakes in the world and magnet to wildlife big players like the crocodile or jackals, Lake Nasser is known worldwide for its large perch fish, the air-dancers weighing from 60 to 200 lbs. But there is also the energetic tiger fish or even night fishing for bagrus catfish. Competition does not run low with the Red Sea and its fantastic bottom fishing and trolling for giant trevally and groupers.
